Hello Global Community:

Igbo Language is trending into extinction because Ndigbo are abandoning their rich language, culture and heritage at a fast and disappointing rate for other languages and lifestyles. As a result the United Nations and other reputable Agencies  that monitor global trends have predicted that Igbo language will go into extinction within the next 10 years or less . If nothing is done immediately and decidedly, when the prediction becomes a reality, current Igbo children and future  generations will be plunged into perpetual  bondage and ignominy as a lost battalion.

Tufiakwa and God forbid are regular refrains whenever the subject about extiction of Igbo language is mentioned in casual and officials gatherings. However Mother Tongue Academy (MTA) goes beyond lip services by utilizing a holistic approach to preserve Igbo language and culture. All participants in Phase one of our Free Online Lessons should go to "Free Test Drive" page under General on the website www.igbo1.com General - AT A GLANCE -  LISTING OF FREE LESSONS.

1. PHASE 1: The list on linked page shows 12 Free Lessons for each participant to study for a period of three months total.  For the express purpose to stop Igbo Language from going into extiction, all the lessons are free for everybody including interested non Ndigbo. 

2. PHASE 2: March 13 to April 13, 2024: After studying, a participant may decide to go to phase two. This will involve formal registration to take the Quizzes which are based on the Free Lessons of Phase one.  All willing and admitted candidates will compete to win a share of the total prize money of N1,000,000.00(One million Naira) or $1,000 (One Thousand US Dollars) for scoring an average of 90% on the Quizzes. Though the Quizzes will be same, participants  intereated in  Naira or Dollar payout will be determined during the Registration and Admission process starting from March 13 through April 7, 2024. There will be "Applicable Special Subscrption Fee from $2 to $10 to qaulify to participate in the Quiz Competition. All Fees to Take the Quiz are mandatory. However fees are refundable if less than  one Thousand participants registered (Subscribed) to take the Quiz. The aim of the Competition is to give incentives for Igbo language to be learnt for free in order to prevent Igbo language from becoming extinct. Good luck to each participant.

3. Saturday, April 13 , 2024 is the day all qualified candidates will take the Quizzes Online on their personal devices of choice;(IGBO1 app Can be downloaded in advance to help avoid network issues)

4. The quiz will take place from 8 AM (US Eastern Time Zone) which is 2 PM (Nigeria and most of Europe). Total Time  duration of the Quizzes are 2.5 hours on Saturday, April 13, 2024. All interested Candidates are encourage to download the IGBO1 app on their phones to avert Network issues. Candidates are encouraged to be ready 15 to 30 minutes at the website for the Quizzes to post at the stipulated Time frame. Those from Time zones not mentioned should synchronize their time zones applicably.

5. The result is revealed once each candidate finishes his or her Quizzes;

6. Each candidate will sit for the exam once. If multiple attempts are made , only the first attempt will be used to determine the candidate’s final grade;

7. Pay out of won prizes will be on April 20, 2024 to the individual accounts of auccesful candidates.

CAUTION: Mother Tongue Academy reserves the right to ask each candidate for proof of proficiency before a Payout occurs. In other words, nobody is allowed to pay a ghost exam taker on his or her behalf. Mother Tongue Academy is headquartered in Long Island, NY, USA with Global Presence through out the Global.
